The Ontario Securities Commission has published a draft Action Plan for Truth and Reconciliation for engagement and is inviting feedback from interested or affected parties, including rightsholders in Ontario, Indigenous organizations, market participants, regulators, investors and investor advocates. The draft plan is being developed further to the Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada and is positioned as a roadmap for the OSC to build a culturally aware, safe and more inclusive workforce while working collaboratively with Indigenous peoples, partners and communities. Feedback and response letters are due by October 31, 2025. The OSC plans to gather input through roundtable discussion sessions, meeting requests and written submissions, and will hold a final Ontario-wide roundtable discussion session on October 21, 2025. The OSC indicated it will consider the feedback received as it prepares its inaugural Action Plan for Truth and Reconciliation for publication.
