The Central Bank of Russia announced that the Primorye Territory has won the All-Russian Financial Culture Capital Competition and will hold the “financial culture capital” status in 2026, supported by the Bank of Russia and the Russian Ministry of Finance. The winning regional initiative, the FinEco project, links financial literacy and effective personal finance management with environmental awareness, including a corporate-team financial literacy project competition and the creation of a dedicated portal and mobile app for residents to join online events. Thirteen regions reached the final stage this year, presenting workplace financial literacy programmes and other initiatives such as TV shows, media ambassador training plans, chat bots, training quests, family festivals, and teaching excellence competitions. The Primorye Territory will receive informational, expert, and methodological support, and is expected to host forums and conferences to disseminate best practices nationally; the competition is being held for the second time, and last year’s winners were the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Krasnoyarsk Territory.
