The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has appointed Adam Cohen as Senior Deputy Comptroller and Chief Counsel, with responsibility for the agency’s legal function and membership on the OCC’s Executive Committee. In the role, Cohen will oversee the OCC’s Law Department and provide legal analysis and advisory services across bank supervision, enforcement, administrative, litigation, and licensing matters. He will also advise on OCC policy and operational initiatives, including interagency work and matters involving the Administration, and provide counsel to the Comptroller of the Currency and senior OCC executives. Cohen will assume the position on 11 August 2025.
