The Central Bank of Egypt, together with the Union of Banks of Egypt, hosted a high-level banking meeting with Yemeni counterparts attended by the governors of the Egyptian and Yemeni central banks and senior bank executives from both countries. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two banking sectors, with discussions centered on monetary and supervisory policy coordination, support for financial stability and improving the efficiency of banking systems in both countries. The discussions also addressed facilitating financial transfers and supporting economic and trade activity between Egypt and Yemen. In that context, Central Bank of Egypt Governor Hassan Abdalla highlighted positive indicators in the Egyptian economy under the state's economic reform program and said the Egyptian banking sector had shown resilience in dealing with regional and global geopolitical challenges.
