The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has announced Shanghai Electronic Certification Authority Co., Ltd. (SHECA) as the latest Qualified vLEI Issuer (QVI) in the verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) ecosystem. SHECA, established in 1998 and accredited by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), will be able to enable domestic and international organizations to use the vLEI to support trade digitalization, including by promoting greater security, trust and transparency for use cases such as e-invoices and e-bills of lading (eBL).
