The International Monetary Fund has updated its Primary Commodity Prices resources, releasing an updated downloadable dataset and maintaining an interactive Commodity Data Portal for tracking international commodity price developments. The underlying price series are updated monthly based on the IMF’s Primary Commodity Price System, with supporting charts (covering 2000–2025), an Excel download labeled “March 2026 Update”, and technical documentation. The Commodity Data Portal allows users to visualize and download prices for 68 commodities across four asset classes (energy, agriculture, fertilizers, and metals), and the IMF also provides a commodity terms of trade database with country-specific, commodity-price-based indices for 182 economies from 1962, constructed by weighting price changes for up to 45 commodities using commodity-level trade data.
