Greece’s Ministry of National Economy and Finance hosted the leadership of the Supreme Confederation of Large Families of Greece (ASPE) to present and discuss the main measures of a new tax reform affecting large families, framing the redesigned tax system around demographic policy objectives and support for the middle class. The measures are intended to benefit not only salaried large-family households but also self-employed professionals, with income tax set at zero for income up to EUR 20,000 for this group. Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis described the reform as an initial step to reduce the tax burden on large families in response to declining births, while ASPE’s president welcomed the direction of the measures announced at the Thessaloniki International Fair and urged further steps on demographic policy.
