Commodity Futures Trading Commission Acting Chairman Caroline D. Pham announced leadership changes, naming acting heads for the chief of staff and general counsel roles and several major divisions and offices as staff assume these positions on an interim basis at the start of the new Administration. The announcement also thanked former Chairman Behnam and the outgoing executive leadership team. Key appointments include Harry Jung as Acting Chief of Staff, serving as Pham’s top adviser and leading the CFTC’s engagement on crypto, decentralized finance, and other digital assets. Meghan Tente was named Acting General Counsel, Taylor Foy Acting Director of the Office of Public Affairs, Nicholas Elliot Acting Director of the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs, and Mauricio Melara Acting Director of the Office of International Affairs. Acting leadership of the operating divisions will be held by Amanda Olear in the Division of Market Oversight, Richard Haynes in the Division of Clearing and Risk, Tom Smith in the Market Participants Division, and Brian Young in the Division of Enforcement.
