The Bank of Lithuania published a notice clarifying that EstateGuru Lietuva, UAB is not authorised to provide crowdfunding services in Lithuania and that its activities are not supervised, meaning investors cannot use the Bank of Lithuania’s complaints and dispute-resolution framework for issues relating to those services. EstateGuru was removed from the Bank of Lithuania’s public list of crowdfunding platform operators on 19 July 2023 at its request and has not been licensed under Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 because it did not apply for authorisation. The Bank of Lithuania reiterated that crowdfunding services in Lithuania may only be provided by firms licensed under the Regulation, either by the Bank of Lithuania or by another Member State authority with cross-border activity notified to the Bank of Lithuania. It noted that EstateGuru OÜ is authorised to provide crowdfunding services in Lithuania under a licence issued by the Estonian Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority and has been notified for Lithuanian activities, but this does not permit EstateGuru Lietuva to provide services in Lithuania on EstateGuru OÜ’s behalf.
