Hong Kong's Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced that the Financial Secretary, acting under delegated authority under the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, has reappointed Eric Cheng Siu-fun as Executive Director (Policy) of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority for a three-year term from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. The bureau said Cheng has served in the role since 2023 and has been involved in Mandatory Provident Fund reform initiatives, including legislative proposals to implement MPF Full Portability and measures to expand the scope of permissible MPF investments. The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority is the statutory body responsible for regulating and supervising the Mandatory Provident Fund system.
