Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Julia Leung, has been re-appointed as Chair of the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (APRC), with her second two-year term set to begin at IOSCO’s Annual Meeting in May 2026. In outlining priorities for the role, Leung pointed to regional work on online investment scams, digital assets, developments in public and private markets, and enhanced cross-border supervisory and enforcement cooperation. IOSCO is the global standard setter for the securities sector and its members regulate more than 95% of the world’s securities markets across more than 130 jurisdictions; the APRC comprises 22 Asia-Pacific jurisdictions and 10 non-voting members.
