Brazilian Pension Funds Authority (PREVIC) announced that from 1 January 2026 it will use a new CADPREVIC system exclusively to register closed pension funds (EFPC), benefit plans and officers, replacing the current CADPREVIC (Entities and Plans Register) and the National Register of Officers (CAND). The new CADPREVIC consolidates the two registers into a single specialised platform and was developed in-house under PREVIC’s Information Technology Master Plan. It will not include functionality for submitting and receiving applications, as licensing requests will be routed through the federal Gov.br portal, which is intended to automate and unify EFPC licensing requests as part of the Government Digital service-unification strategy; PREVIC expects to migrate five specific request types to Gov.br under a timetable agreed with the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, with EFPC notified and instructed at each stage. PREVIC recommended that each EFPC link its CNPJ to a Gov.br account and pre-register authorised individuals to submit requests. Applications started in the current CADPREVIC that remain in progress on 31 December 2025 must be processed via SEI through completion, and January to March 2026 will be treated as a transition period with direct support for EFPC on the new system.
