The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) has invited stakeholder feedback on a draft Approach document covering complaints about the handling of general insurance claims. The draft sets out how AFCA will assess different claim handling complaints against an insurer’s legal obligations, with regard to relevant industry standards. The consultation runs from 28 July to 29 August 2025. After the consultation closes, AFCA will consider submissions and respond to the feedback received.
