Hong Kong's Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced the reappointment of Clement Cheung Wan-ching as chief executive officer of the Insurance Authority for a three-year term from Aug. 15, 2026, to Aug. 14, 2029. The Chief Executive approved the appointment under the Insurance Ordinance. Cheung has led the Insurance Authority since August 2018. During his tenure, the regulator has implemented and reviewed its risk-based capital regime, developed the insurance-linked securities market and sought to strengthen Hong Kong's captive insurance business.
