The Central Bank of Cyprus hosted the fifth meeting of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Financial Literacy Committee, which reviewed progress in implementing the National Strategy for Financial Literacy and Financial Education and outlined next steps. The Board received updates on the work of the committee’s thematic working groups in the first half of 2025 and on meetings with the Scientific Advisory Committee. The Presidents of the Chambers of Commerce presented actions delivered over the prior six months and their forward plan. Progress with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development covered publication of the survey results on financial literacy levels in Cyprus, development of an adult financial literacy training programme and a national financial literacy website. Budget matters discussed included KEHAP’s 2025 budget and the commission’s budget for the following year.
