The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has approved the merger of FINcontrol Suisse AG with the Neuchâtel-based Organisation de Surveillance Financière (OSFIN), two FINMA-authorised supervisory organisations. Once the merger is completed, OSFIN will be dissolved and taken over by FINcontrol Suisse AG, which will then be renamed OSFINcontrol AG. FINMA authorised both entities as supervisory organisations in 2020 and approved their merger application on 27 November 2025. Under the Financial Institutions Act and Financial Services Act framework, supervisory organisations are responsible for the ongoing supervision of portfolio managers and trustees for compliance with FinIA and FinSA obligations and Anti-Money Laundering Act requirements, while FINMA authorises and supervises the supervisory organisations and enforces financial market law in cases of non-compliance. The merger only becomes legally effective once it has been entered in the commercial register.
