The Central Bank of the UAE and the National Bank of Georgia have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen financial and supervisory cooperation, building on bilateral discussions held during the 2026 International Monetary Fund and World Bank Spring Meetings. The framework covers information and expertise sharing in central banking and is intended to support financial stability and financial sector development in both countries. Cooperation will span monetary policy, foreign exchange operations, reserve management, supervision of financial institutions and activities, payment systems and financial technology. The authorities will also work on modernizing payment and financial services infrastructure to enable faster, more efficient and secure cross-border transactions. Implementation may include meetings, working visits, joint research, capacity building and mutually agreed working groups, subject to both countries’ laws and regulations.
