The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has issued a consultation package on remaking its Level 3 conglomerate prudential standards, which are due to sunset on 1 October 2026. The proposal would remake the standards with minor amendments to keep them current and would not introduce new requirements for Level 3 conglomerate groups. The package covers proposed updates to Prudential Standard 3PS 221 Aggregate Risk Exposures, Prudential Standard 3PS 222 Intra-group Transactions and Exposures, and Prudential Standard 3PS 310 Audit and Related Matters, with marked-up versions provided. Written submissions are due by 29 May 2026.
