The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market reported on a bilateral meeting in Brussels between Ukraine and the European Commission on the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU law under Chapter 6 Corporate Law within Cluster 2 Internal Market, as part of the EU accession negotiation process. Discussion covered domestic rules on mergers and divisions of public joint stock companies, procedures for cross-border mergers, divisions and transformations of limited liability companies, the use of digital tools in corporate law, shareholder rights and corporate governance, and anti-corruption measures in the corporate law sphere. The meeting included NSSMC Member Maksym Libanov and representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance and the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, following a prior European Commission simulation session with government agencies and international experts to prepare for the bilateral talks.
