The Kuwait Capital Markets Authority has approved Ahli Capital Investment Company’s establishment and public offering of the Ahli International Income Fund. The variable capital fund will have capital ranging from KWD 2 million to KWD 300 million and will offer up to 30 million units with a nominal value of KWD 10 each. The minimum initial subscription is KWD 500, while additional subscriptions must be at least KWD 50. The fund manager must invest at least KWD 100,000 or the equivalent in other currencies at establishment. A three-month temporary license will begin when subscriptions open, during which the fund may not conduct investment activities. The temporary license will lapse if the fund does not meet the authority’s requirements and minimum capital threshold, unless extended. Once those conditions are met and the fund is registered, it will receive a three-year license. The fund’s term will be 15 years from registration and may be renewed with the authority’s approval.
