The Central Bank of Paraguay said it is strengthening its information technology capabilities with support from a specialized World Bank mission, as part of a plan to align with higher international standards for quality and security. The central bank is updating its cybersecurity strategy to strengthen service continuity and IT resilience so it can sustain critical services in the event of operational disruptions and cyber threats. As part of its participation in the Reserve Advisory and Management Partnership program, the Central Bank of Paraguay is hosting a technical team from the World Bank Group to carry out an assessment at the institution. The stated objective is to align the central bank’s operational resilience with practices regarded as industry leading, while addressing the system’s needs and the evolution of IT risks, including cyber threats and technological change.
