The Montenegro Capital Market Authority has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, formalizing collaboration between the two supervisors. The agreement was signed in Luxembourg and positions the relationship as a framework for continued cooperation between the institutions. The accompanying meeting focused on current trends and the future development of capital markets, with particular attention to Montenegro’s European integration process and further alignment of its domestic regulatory framework with the European Union acquis. The two sides also exchanged views on challenges facing regulatory authorities and on the role of ongoing cooperation and experience-sharing, particularly among regulators from smaller European states, in supporting best-practice exchange and strengthening institutional capacity. Both institutions indicated that they will continue to develop their partnership through the activities envisaged under the memorandum.
