The Cayman Islands Ministry of Finance & Economic Development reported that Minister Rolston Anglin and senior officials met with CCRIF SPC board representatives to review the Cayman Islands’ parametric insurance policies, receive CCRIF updates and discuss issues of interest to the Cayman Islands Government. The meeting took place alongside CCRIF’s quarterly board meetings in the Cayman Islands on 8-9 April and was the first in-person engagement with Minister Anglin since his appointment after the April 2025 General Elections. CCRIF SPC is a segregated portfolio company operating as a captive insurer domiciled in the Cayman Islands and regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. The Cayman Islands has been a CCRIF member since 2007 and purchases parametric cover for tropical cyclones and earthquakes each year; the Government-owned Cayman Turtle Conservation and Education Centre joined in 2024 and received a US$119,474 payout following Hurricane Beryl in 2024.

The engagement, held alongside CCRIF’s quarterly board meetings, was the first in-person meeting with Minister Rolston Anglin since his appointment after the April 2025 General Elections.
