The Central Bank of Oman, in partnership with the Financial Services Authority and the Ministry of Finance’s Estidama program, has launched a National FinTech Strategy and the Oman FinTech Gate. The strategy creates a unified national roadmap for financial technology development, centered on proportionate regulation, financial inclusion, investment, entrepreneurship, interoperability and the digital infrastructure and skills needed to support innovation. The Central Bank of Oman will oversee implementation and coordinate participating authorities under a governance framework intended to measure progress and accountability. The Oman FinTech Gate provides domestic and international FinTech companies and entrepreneurs with a central entry point to the Omani market. Integrated with the Invest Oman platform, it offers guidance on applicable requirements, simplifies the initial application journey and connects applicants with ecosystem partners before potential regulatory engagement. Regulatory assessments and decisions will remain subject to applicable law and the independent mandates of the Central Bank of Oman and the Financial Services Authority.
