The Central Bank of Egypt reported that Governor Hassan Abdalla met Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rustum at the bank to discuss strengthening cooperation and joint coordination to support macroeconomic stability and advance Egypt’s development objectives. Discussions covered recent economic performance indicators in the context of the state’s economic reform programme, frameworks for coordinating monetary and economic policies, and progress on implementing the sustainable development plan and Egypt Vision 2030 to raise growth and create sustainable jobs. The meeting was attended by deputy governors Rami Abouelnaga and Tarek El Khouly, alongside officials from the ministry. Both sides underscored the need to sustain effective coordination between the central bank and the ministry to balance monetary stability with development priorities, support development projects, stimulate investment, and create sustainable employment.
