Preliminary Central Bank of Jordan data show tourism income rose 17.2% from a year earlier to USD 1,139.4 million in August 2026 and increased 2.9% to USD 5,557.6 million in the first eight months, as income from Arab and Asian visitors grew 16.3% and 9.5%, respectively, while income from Jordanian expatriates, American visitors, European visitors and other nationalities declined 5.9%, 17.1%, 23.7% and 39.9%, and tourism spending by Jordanians and residents rose 4.1% to USD 204.8 million in August but fell 5.9% to USD 1,359.0 million over the eight-month period.
