Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) released the third-quarter 2025 results of its Índice de Desempeño de Atención a Usuarios (IDATU) for Sociedades Financieras Populares (SOFIPOS), assessing how well firms handled customer complaints concluded in cases processed by the authority. The SOFIPOS sector scored 9.15 out of 10, an increase versus the second quarter of 2025. IDATU evaluates service quality in CONDUSEF defence processes, including response times, handling methods and improvement actions aimed at ensuring substantive equality in access to financial products and services, including for vulnerable groups such as older adults. The highest-scoring SOFIPOS were SFP Porvenir (9.86), Financiera Monte de Piedad (9.73) and Caja Progressa (9.72), while the lowest scores were recorded by Financiera Súmate (8.07), Libertad Servicios Financieros (7.66) and Stori México (7.29). CONDUSEF positioned the index as a transparency tool for users and directed the public to consult the full results via Buro de Entidades Financieras (buro.gob.mx).
