The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has released the program for its 2026 Annual Forum, to be held in Sydney on Nov. 17 and 18. The regulator will use the event to announce its enforcement priorities for 2027 and examine how Australia’s financial system can respond to economic pressures, geopolitical uncertainty and rapid technological change. The program will address changes in markets and financial services driven by digital assets, artificial intelligence, increased retail participation and stronger links between Australian and global markets. Other discussions will cover private markets and private credit, financial advice, operational resilience, professional services, industry codes, board leadership and coordination among Australia’s financial regulators. Participants will include ASIC Chair Sarah Court, Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Michele Bullock, Treasurer Jim Chalmers and senior representatives from government, industry and consumer bodies.
