The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation has approved Singapore-based TradeGo Pte. Ltd. as a Qualified vLEI Issuer, enabling it to issue cryptographically verifiable organizational identities within the verifiable Legal Entity Identifier ecosystem and embed vLEI credentials across its services. TradeGo, a blockchain-based platform for cross-border commodity trading, plans to integrate vLEI credentials into e-bills of lading, digital payments and e-contracts. The approval is positioned as supporting fraud reduction and compliance efficiency, and as helping align digital trade processes with trade digitalisation laws in Singapore and the UK, with the release citing early results showing major cost and efficiency gains under TradeGo’s GIFTS initiative.
