Turkmenistan's Ministry of Finance reported 6.3% gross domestic product growth for January through September 2026 as part of the Cabinet’s review of economic performance. State Budget revenue reached 100.1% of the nine-month plan, while expenditure execution was 97.2%. President Serdar Berdimuhamedow instructed officials to maintain stable growth, support balanced development across sectors and accelerate work on the 2027 State Budget draft. Total output rose 9.9% from the same period of 2025, retail turnover increased 10.5% and foreign trade turnover grew 8.3%. Growth reached 10.4% in transport and communications, 8.4% in both trade and services, 6.7% in construction, 4.1% in agriculture and 3% in industry. Capital investment from all funding sources increased 3.5%, while wages, pensions, state benefits and student stipends funded through the budget were paid on time.
