The Montenegro Capital Market Authority held an expert lecture on blockchain technology at its premises, delivered by Prof Dr Saša Popović, alongside the presentation of his book “Blockchain – from a capital idea to digital capital”. The session was aimed at representatives of capital market institutions and other market participants. The lecture covered the basic principles of blockchain, the role of cryptography, how blockchain systems function, and practical applications across different fields. Participants were introduced to key technical terminology and the mechanisms underpinning blockchain systems, with the Authority framing the event as part of its broader efforts to strengthen institutional knowledge and capacity around technological developments affecting the financial sector.
