Discussions also covered development of Open Banking and the rollout of account-to-account money transfer services, alongside broader plans for developing the fintech ecosystem and positioning Uzbekistan as a regional fintech hub. A fintech event is planned to be held in Uzbekistan in 2026, intended to bring together central banks, policymakers, international financial institutions, venture funds and fintech companies. The parties indicated they will continue dialogue and cooperation on these areas.
