The Central Bank of Peru announced the winners of its 18th BCRP School Contest 2025, a secondary-school competition focused this year on the importance of low and stable inflation. First place went to Proyecto Triunfo Ignacio Merino (Piura) for the video “La estabilidad monetaria construye inversión y trabajo” (pseudonym Triunfalinos), which highlighted how price stability supports opportunity, growth and household living standards. COAR San Martín (Moyobamba) took second place with “Conociendo la inflación sostenible en el Perú” (team Trio Monetario), and IE 7089 Romeo Luna Victoria (San Borja, Lima) placed third with “Inflación Bajo Control: El Perú que Crece con Confianza” (group Victorianos). At the awards ceremony, BCRP President Julio Velarde underscored that low and stable inflation helps protect household purchasing power and supports investment confidence.
