The Central Bank of Barbados, in partnership with the Barbados Association of Retired Persons, has completed a four-day training program that helped more than 70 seniors use BiMPay, the country’s national instant payment system. The initiative forms part of a broader effort to build digital literacy among older Barbadians. The sessions covered BiMPay’s features, safe onboarding, account linking, transactions and online protection, combining instruction with hands-on practice. The central bank will continue supporting participants and provide additional training as they adopt BiMPay for everyday transactions.
