The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission has requested the public prosecutor to petition the Civil Court to enforce compliance against JKN Global Group Public Company Limited after the company failed to fully pay agreed civil sanctions relating to the publication of false or misleading information about JKN. The Civil Sanction Committee previously imposed civil sanctions totalling THB 2,062,039, comprising a civil penalty and reimbursement of the SEC’s investigative expenses. Although JKN signed a letter consenting to the sanctions, the SEC reports that payment was not made in full, and it is therefore seeking court enforcement for the outstanding civil sanctions plus interest under Section 317/7 of the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 (1992).
