The Bank of Greece published central government net borrowing requirement data on a cash basis showing a cash surplus of EUR 973 million for January to December 2025, compared with a surplus of EUR 1,031 million in the same period of 2024. Over the period, ordinary budget revenue totalled EUR 73,938 million versus EUR 69,434 million a year earlier, while ordinary budget expenditure amounted to EUR 65,875 million compared with EUR 63,428 million in January to December 2024.

The Bank of Greece reported a central government cash surplus of EUR 973 million for January to December 2025, down from EUR 1,031 million in the same period of 2024, with ordinary budget revenue increasing to EUR 73,938 million and expenditure rising to EUR 65,875 million.
