The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced the appointment of Kate Tyrrell as Chief of Staff and Senior Deputy Comptroller, adding her to Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Gould’s leadership team as the agency reassesses its regulatory and supervisory framework. In the role, Tyrrell will advance the Comptroller’s priorities, direct the daily operations of the Comptroller’s support staff, and oversee the OCC’s public affairs. She will also advise and coordinate policy and operations within the OCC, on an interagency basis, and with the Administration, and will serve as a member of the OCC’s Executive Committee. Her previous experience includes senior managing director roles in the private sector, Deputy Chief of Staff at the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and Deputy Executive Secretary at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
