Albania's Ministry of Finance published a decision by the Transparency and Temporary Wholesale and Retail Price Limitation Board setting maximum prices for diesel and gasoline. Retail prices are capped at ALL 219 per liter for diesel and ALL 196 per liter for gasoline, while wholesale caps are ALL 207 and ALL 184 per liter, respectively. The caps apply to all wholesale and retail operators from 2 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2026, until further notice. Operators may charge less but cannot exceed the ceilings, which include value-added tax and reflect S&P Global Platts FOB Mediterranean prices, applicable customs and tax liabilities, and maximum gross trading margins.
