Brazil’s Securities Commission (CVM) announced that it will hold a judgment session from 15:00 on 2 September for an Administrative Sanctioning Proceeding investigating KPMG Auditores Independentes Ltda and João Alberto Dias Panceri for alleged irregularities in the independent audit of Copel’s financial statements. The rapporteur’s report by Director João Accioly has been made available. The session is open to the public and will take place in person at CVM’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, with an option to follow by videoconference. If none of the accused or their duly appointed representatives indicate an intention to participate, the session will be restricted and conducted through electronic voting, and CVM noted the published report may be revised after the judgment session.
