Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) director Sonia Salvatierra participated in an Ibero-American workshop in Montevideo on capital markets supervision, technological innovation and supervisors’ internal digital transformation, organised by the Ibero-American Institute of Securities Markets (IIMV) and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). Salvatierra presented Argentina’s experience and highlighted CNV’s efforts to integrate technology into supervisory work in support of transparency and investor protection. The workshop brought together selected executives and technical staff from Ibero-American regulators to discuss the expansion of the regulatory perimeter as financial innovation advances, the development of SupTech solutions and process digitisation, the use of artificial intelligence in supervision and financial markets, and the strengthening of approaches to anti-money laundering prevention. Salvatierra also underscored the role of knowledge and tool-sharing among peer authorities across the region.
