The Chile Financial Market Commission has issued a regulation establishing the Information Systems Manual for the Fintech Sector and instructing entities registered under Title II of the Fintech Act to submit supervisory information in specified formats, frequencies and channels. The manual requires periodic reporting through the Commission’s official communication means using 16 standardised files, covering metrics such as business volumes and clients, minimum equity and risk-weighted assets (including operational, market, credit and crypto), transactions and portfolio balances for intermediaries, income and activity data for credit and investment advisers, custody and transaction registries, and information on cybersecurity and technological infrastructure. The regime applies across crowdfunding platforms, alternative transaction systems, credit and investment advisory services, custodians of financial instruments, order routing companies and intermediaries of financial instruments, and is designed around modularity and proportionality so firms report only what is necessary given their authorised services, business scale and risks. The Commission indicated the submitted information will support both fintech supervision and the production of statistics to track sector evolution and the effects of regulation, with the full text available in the Regulations section of the CMF website alongside a dedicated Fintech Act implementation section.
