The Seychelles Financial Services Authority issued a public warning about alleged unauthorised activity linked to the website lancergrp.com, which it says is allegedly operated by Lancer Venture Limited. The authority stated that the company does not, and has not, held authorisation to operate under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2024. Lancer Venture Limited was previously incorporated under the International Business Companies Act but has since been struck off and dissolved as of 18 December 2024, meaning it is no longer a legal entity. The authority reminded consumers to verify that any virtual asset service provider or virtual asset products are licensed or authorised in the jurisdiction from which they claim to operate, noting that it publishes on its website the list of authorised non-bank financial service providers, including virtual asset services, as well as registrations of Initial Coin Offerings and Non-Fungible Tokens. The authority encouraged the public to report suspected unlicensed or unauthorised virtual asset service provider activity using the reporting form available on its website.
