The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on its engagement with an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission that visited the Kyrgyz Republic from 12 to 19 November 2025 to conduct an interim review of the macroeconomic situation. The mission, led by Dmitry Gershenson, met with National Bank Chairman M. Zh. Turgunbaev. Discussions covered the National Bank’s monetary policy, financial sector development, and measures to support macroeconomic stability amid external challenges. The interim review forms part of preparation for IMF Article IV consultations scheduled for spring 2026.
