Chile’s Financial Market Commission announced that access to its “Know Your Debt” website using the Civil Registry-issued Individual Password will require two-factor authentication (2FA) from 15 December 2025, using the Ministry of Finance Digital Government Secretariat’s 2FA service. The 2FA process adds an email-delivered verification code to the login flow, using the email address registered to the Individual Password. The CMF urged users to keep their registered contact details up to date, and noted that a phone number is expected to become available as an additional 2FA method. Any issues with 2FA or verification codes must be handled via the official Individual Password support service, as the CMF does not manage the Individual Password system or its authentication. Users who cannot complete 2FA can still obtain the relevant information in person via the CMF Public Service Office or through ChileAtiende offices.
