The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has invited internationally recognized economists from academic and research institutions to submit proposals for its Research Fellowship Programme. The program supports policy relevant research, gives scholars exposure to the BIS policymaking environment and encourages joint work with BIS economists. Research may cover monetary and financial stability, macroeconomics and finance, financial markets, central bank governance and digital innovation. Applications are reviewed annually with a March 31 deadline. Successful candidates may spend from a few days to one month in Basel, Hong Kong SAR or Mexico City, while retaining their home institution salary. The BIS provides an honorarium and covers accommodation and travel costs.
