The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) announced the appointment of Michaela Fleischer as its Chief Operating and Financial Officer, a newly created role intended to provide strategic financial leadership and strengthen operational delivery across the organization and the Global LEI System. In the role, Fleischer will lead the “RUN” dimension of GLEIF’s mission, overseeing and evolving operational, financial and administrative functions including financial planning and sustainability, organizational effectiveness and day-to-day operations. She will be based in Frankfurt am Main as Managing Director of GLEIF Germany and will report to Chief Executive Officer Alexandre Kech. GLEIF linked the creation of the position to rising demand for secure and automatically verifiable organizational identities and the need to support increased adoption of the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) and verifiable LEI (vLEI).
