The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has suspended Transitional Funding Pty Ltd’s Australian credit licence for six months, running until 17 June 2026, with the suspension taking effect on 19 December 2025. ASIC took action after finding the licensee failed to comply with licence conditions on key person requirements, including notifying ASIC within five business days when a key person ceases duties and applying to vary the condition with details of a proposed replacement’s name, qualifications and experience. The regulator also found Transitional Funding had not paid industry funding levies owed to ASIC. Transitional Funding has held Australian credit licence number 453383 since 17 April 2014, and ASIC noted the firm is expected to remedy the compliance failures during the suspension period or risk further action, including cancellation. Transitional Funding can apply to the Administrative Review Tribunal for review of ASIC’s decision.
