The report examines how financial sector activities depend on and affect nature, and how financial institutions and firms are assessing nature-related risks and opportunities. It sets out recommendations for financial institutions, firms and public sector entities to strengthen the ecosystem for assessing nature-related risks. The report also provides practical guidance for financial institutions and firms to identify and assess their dependencies on nature, their impacts on nature, and the risks and opportunities linked to both.
