The European Fund and Asset Management Association published its statistical release for the second quarter of 2026, reporting that net assets of European UCITS and alternative investment funds rose 8.4% to EUR 27.51 trillion. Combined net inflows totaled EUR 267 billion, easing from EUR 282 billion in the first quarter, with UCITS attracting EUR 245 billion and alternative investment funds EUR 21 billion. UCITS exchange-traded funds recorded an all-time quarterly high of EUR 117 billion in net inflows. Long-term funds attracted EUR 223 billion, with inflows across every category. Bond fund inflows increased to EUR 94 billion and multi-asset fund inflows rose to EUR 58 billion, while equity fund inflows declined to EUR 46 billion. SFDR Article 8 funds drew EUR 86 billion, led by demand for bond and money market funds, while Article 9 funds recorded EUR 0.3 billion in net outflows. The latest household data showed European households acquired a net EUR 98 billion of funds in the first quarter of 2026, up from EUR 68 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025.
