The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched an online course titled “Life and Health Insurance” (fourth actuarial course, Part B) on the skills.enbek.kz platform under its minimum mandatory programme for training actuaries in Kazakhstan. Part B of the fourth course focuses on reserving methods and principles and capital management for life and health insurance. The online curriculum is positioned for a broad audience, from entry-level students to qualified specialists, and also includes a second actuarial course, “Actuarial Principles and Their Copies”, covering actuarial methods for analysing, developing and pricing insurance and pension products, risk management, and supporting insurers’ financial stability. Completing all 10 courses in the minimum programme is presented as enabling applicants to obtain a licence to perform actuarial activities in Kazakhstan; the Agency noted that 155 learners registered for the earlier first course on “Interest Rates and Stochastic Processes Theory in Life Insurance”.
